Art Deco Noritake Powder Puff Box Antique Vintage Ladies Vanity $ 175

In order to appreciate this precious Art Deco Noritake powder box you probably have to be a Noritake collector. Made in the 1920-1930 period, this iridescent glazed power puff box is very rare to find.

It is rare to find any of the old Art Deco Noritake powder puff boxes and recently, book values have exceeded $ 300 as this is an item that is nearly impossible to find, especially in superb condition. This box is in excellent condition and is priced so that when you purchase it, it automatically increases in value by $ 125 or more.

The lid features and Art Deco lady in profile with a large feather fan and a big hoop skirt. The lid is glazed in iridescent coral, rose pink, black, white, and orange. The base of the box is glazed in iridescent blue. Relatively flat, the box was made for just the puff used for powder but it can also be used to hold small precious items like earrings or rings.

Medium in size, the box is 3 1/4" or 83 mm wide. The bottom of the box has a Morimura Noritake hallmark in red. The box is in perfect condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, scuffs, or repairs. Only if you look at the large orange open area on the lid very closely can you detect some very microscopic signs of gentle handling; some very faint tiny scratches. There is no loss of paint or paint imperfections. The box is clean all around and has never been used.
